Hayling Island Golf Club has a fine links course along the coast in Hampshire near Portsmouth. Since its creation in 1883, the club has regularly hosted county and national competitions. Interestingly, the course occupies gently undulating dunesland that's set within 190 acres of a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
