Hillside Golf Club is situated in Southport, the golf-rich capital of Lancashire golf. The course is one of four outstanding links in a row: Royal Birkdale, Southport & Ainsdale, and Formby. From the white tees, the course at Hillside measures over 6,800 yards. It meanders through what is truly majestic sandhills and tranquil pinewoods much as its adjacent neighbor, Royal Birkdale. After playing the course, Greg Norman wrote to the Club saying that "The back nine were the best in Britain." Jack Nicklaus described the course as "a wild looking links."
We also have exceptional
English Scenics as well as those of
The Beatles' Liverpool, which is just a short drive down the coast from Hillside Golf Club.
