Founded in 1887, the Royal St. George's Golf Club was originally intended to spare London golfers the crowds and poor conditions in and around the capital. It has done so, and just as admirably it has become a highly esteemed venue for major events, including the Open Championships for both amateur and professional golfers. In addition, it has hosted other prestigious events such as the Walker Cup, the Curtis Cup, the English Amateur, the British PGA Championship, the Home Internationals, and the Brabazon Trophy. Named St. George's after England's patron saint, it is a worthy counterpart to Scotland's St. Andrews.
We also have exceptional images of
scenic England as well as those of
The Beatles' Liverpool.
