Western Gailes Golf Club is often overlooked by travelers to the western Ayrshire coast of Scotland. That's unfortunate because it is home to a very fine links course that has hosted many important championships. The course has played host to the Curtis Cup, British PGA Championship, British Seniors, and the prestigious Scottish Amateur Championship. Western Gailes Golf Club is also one of the final qualifying courses when The Open is played at Turnberry or Royal Troon.
