DANIEL CHESTER FRENCH

Daniel Chester French (1850–1931) was an American sculptor best known for his presentation of the seated president at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. The Crowley Collection features two of his other important pieces of sculpture, the Minuteman Statue on Lexington Green in Massachusetts, and the War Memorial at Gale Park in Exeter, New Hampshire, which depicts "Mother Town" and "Soldier Son."

Our photographic library also includes a presentation on the art of Augustus Saint-Gaudens, a sculptor whose home and studio is maintained by the National Park Service in Cornish, New Hampshire.

Permission to use any of our copyrighted images of works by Daniel Chester French can be obtained from The Crowley Collection for as little as $30US per scan. Scans of other sizes and resolutions can be ordered as required. Print media may obtain one-time use for between $70-100US per image. Unmatted prints of these images are available for as little as $50US per image (8x10 inches or A4). They make wonderful gifts.

The Crowley Collection has extensive photographic libraries of general stock photography and golf images. Additional information can be obtained, and orders placed, by using the contact link at the bottom of this page to reach our principal, Ron Crowley.
