The Binghamton Mets are the Double-A affiliate of the New York Mets. Based in the state of New York, the team participates in the Eastern League and plays its home games at NYSEG Stadium (formerly Binghamton Municipal Stadium), which opened in 1992.

The 2009 Binghamton Mets finished with a record of 54-86, which earned them sixth place (last) in the Northern Division.
