
In 2009, the
Portland Sea Dogs finished with a record of 67-74, which earned them fourth place in the Northern Division. The highlight of the year was a 3-2 victory over the Bowie Baysox in the Futures Game at Fenway Park in August. Outfield prospect
Jason Place hit a homerun in his first at bat. Place was the first-round selection of the Boston Red Sox in the 2006 draft. Other prospects on the 2009 Sea Dogs included
